Accessibility

Our commitment

Mission Ready is designed to be usable by everyone — including service members, veterans, and families using assistive technologies. Accessibility is treated as a core requirement, not an afterthought.

How the platform is built for accessibility

  • Clear color contrast between text and backgrounds, in both light and dark modes.
  • A persistent left-hand navigation menu and logical page structure with semantic headings.
  • Keyboard-operable navigation, forms, menus, and dialogs.
  • Descriptive labels and alternative text for meaningful images.
  • Interface elements that avoid relying on color alone, and tap targets sized for touch devices.
  • Mobile-friendly layouts with device safe-area support.

Known limitations

Some third-party content linked from the platform may not meet the same accessibility standards. Older parts of the platform may occasionally fall short of our target; reported issues are treated as defects and prioritized for repair.

Feedback
